I pray you are well and blessed and continue to know God’s wisdom as you seek to navigate the opportunities presented by these challenging times.
God has been faithful and much had been happening in recent times through the ministry of ‘Christians Who Lead’ so I thought it would be good to bring you up to date with developments:
1. Leadership Encouragement
In the Spring of this year we launched ‘The Encouragers’ Network. Each month 50+ leaders from 20+ nation connect together to encourage and pray for each other via a one hour zoom call, with a leader from a different continent bringing a message of encouragement each month.
As this ministry continues to develop and grow our good friend Brian Armstrong will be connecting leaders in prayer cells so that they can pray for each during the month and will be developing pastoral support for the leaders in the network.
2. Leadership Wisdom
As a result of a question I was asked by a Christian business leader 5 years ago we are launching an initiative called ‘The Wisdom Download’.
This will begin in October with 12 experienced leaders, from different sectors and different nations, sharing the wisdom God has given them throughout their life in a 30 minute podcast. The podcast will be broadcast online and via Premier Christian Radio. The wisdom shared will then be collated with a book and learning resource published in 2022.
Leaders participating in the ‘Wisdom Download’ project will also consider launching a ‘Wisdom Download’ initiative in their own nation.
I believe that ‘The Wisdom Download’ is a much needed initiative so I am delighted to say that our good friend Emeritus Professor Chris Shaw has agreed to be the project ambassador.
3. Leadership Academies
For some time we have been prayerfully considering how we develop leadership academies where Christians can access online leadership training to help them lead well personally and practically.
A pilot leadership academy will launch soon, with Christians Who Lead being the leadership partner to Youth for Christ International. In the first year of the academy 10 modules will be developed and made available to leaders in the Youth for Christ Europe, Middle East and North Africa region.
With wisdom and guidance from our leadership adviser (Audrey Curry, former head of post graduate leadership at Stranmillis University) we hope to make leadership academy modules available to leaders around the world from early 2022.
Personally,
On a personal level I have been greatly encouraged by the feedback received from those who have read my first book ‘Living And Leading Like Jesus’. The book is available globally on Amazon.
In mid September I will be in hospital for a gallbladder operation so will be taking some time off to rest and recuperate.
